It is a wonderful thing being a father. My daugher is now a junior in HS, but just this morning I recalled lying in bed with her when she was just weeks old and crying her eyes out for no particular reason. It was really a revelation about how we relate to God. She was perfectly safe, I was there to take care of her every need, yet she was crying...because she did not know she was safe. Sometime I think that is how we appear to God, crying infants who don't fully appreciate that there is someone there to care for us.
